Khwezi Gule, a.k.a Simba Sambo, was born in Durban, grew up in Pietermaritzburg and studied all over the country. Simba is a failed artist who often pretends to be a curator, flirts with being a writer, but most of the time he dreams of becoming an evil genius and taking over the world. Simba Sambo is also a recovering House Negro.
Sharlene Khan is a woman of great colour, a terrible artist (according to her favourite critics) and the girl who cried race. Mostly she’s just cute. Even when she’s producing bad visual artworks, even worse writing and small exhibitions worth millions of rands. Khan, aka Genghis, was born in Durban 1977, but escaped to Johannesburg in 2003 and is rumoured to still be in the area.
Ms confused Bandile who says it trice to hear herself in the madness, is a poet at times. When she grows up she will like to be a writer of exclusively fiction. At the moment she fumbles with stuff she hardly understands.
Fouad Asfour is a linguist, writer and editor born in Offenbach, Germany. He moved to Vienna to study Linguistics and the role of pastry in artistic production. Recently he achieved international kudos through his involvement as Western Asian Representative for an international publication project.
